OUR MISSION
Our mission is to open the education gateway to students who are academically talented and have limited access to financial resources. Education Gateway Foundation, Inc. endeavors to motivate students to aim high academically, to empower students to use education as a gateway out of poverty, and to impact the local economy through support of entrepreneurs and local businesses.
The beautiful island of Jamaica boasts citizens all over the world. Education Gateway Foundation (EGF) provides a vehicle for Jamaicans living abroad, their friends and families to positively impact students' lives on the island through a partnership with Quality Education Circles (QEC). The local primary schools are organized into Quality Education Circles (QEC) which provides EGF a centralized way to impact students. Education Gateway Foundation provides Need & Merit based scholarships to students who pass the GSAT (Grade Six Achievement Test). EGF will provide scholarships for school uniform and textbooks so that the students may begin their high school journey well equipped for success.
